Subject: FANTASTIC RE-READS

Hi all. While I'm waiting patiently for the new crop of books coming out over the next few weeks, I did a re-read over the weekend. "Where Dreams Begin" by Lisa Kleypas.

Lisa Kleypas is one of my auto-buy authors, and I have all of her books and just enjoy her writing so much!! This book has a special place on my keeper shelf and its a fantastic book.

I'm so glad that when I read this book again, it held up to my remembrance...meaning that I thought it was great the first time I read it and I feel the same way now. It is kind of sad when you re-read a book on your keeper shelf and for whatever reason, it wasn't as good as you remember. But we won't talk about those today...

What I wanted to ask today is: Can you name a book or two that is as good today as the first time you read it?

Besides "Where Dreams Begin" by Kleypas, I'll add in a few more:

"McKenzies Mountain" by Linda Howard. I read this at least once a year and it never disappoints.

Elizabeth Lowell's "Fire and Rain" "Outlaw" "Granite Man". Great little series!

Okay, thats it for today! Have a great rest of the week!!

[> Tell Me No Lies by Elizabeth Lowell and Open Season by Linda Howard are two that immediately come to mind for me Robin (good question - now I see if anyone lists books I haven't read yet) -- Ann Ann, Wednesday, January 12, 07:32:19pm

[> [> Ann, I agree whole-heartedly about those two books being great the first time....but I've not re-read them although I have them here. It took me FOREVER to read "Tell Me No Lies" the first time, I put it off for soo long for some reason but after patient guidance from you I finally read it and WOW....I have to say that yeah, whew....good book. [> [> Beaty, I've only read Kiss an Angel once because I know its gonna make me cry!! LOL But it IS good. I've never read Gayle Faulkner so thanks, I'll take Ann's advice and put it on my list! -- Robin, Thursday, January 13, 04:49:23am

[> Like you, I cherish certain books, Robin, and re-read them all the time. I LOVED Where Dreams Begin - Zachary is one of my favorite "heroes". And I also ADORE Wolf McKenzie - that series I read based on recommendations from this board. I keep getting wonderful suggestions and adding to my must get list. Right now I'm still working my way thru the In Death series LOL - I was telling my daughter about Roarke the other night - and, well, I think my husband got a little "jealous" LOL. -- Diane, Friday, January 14, 12:41:39pm
