Yes I agree with John. Probably mites have irritated the skin. He will be all right.You say you used ivermectin and that will take care of any other parasited he had I am sure.
Just wash him in a little dish soap and shampoo and rinse him real well with some glycerin in the final rinse and he will look just fine.I wouldnt wash him until a week or so before the show. Keep the bedding clean and you will have a great looking bird. Bill
