Duane would be a source for chicks but realize that he has many breeds and varieties and I have used him as a place to start my Golden Laced Cochin Bantam project. Be also aware that these birds are a long ways from the pretty pictures in the Hatchery Catalogs. They are not even close to the Standard in type and color but they are a place to start. The rare colors are not for those who do not wish to put in some work. Set goals and try to make them better every year. Often newcomers to the hobby expect perfection in some of the rare varieties and are often disappointed with what is currently being bred.
