Join the club, a wealth of information in the newsletters, and with the possibility of shipping birds thru the mail, don't just look to local breeders. Find the ones that are winning, and see what they have for sale. Buying from someone who is showing will put you years ahead than if you purchase from a hatchery. They may cost a tad bit more, but you will be money ahead by spending it up front and have decent stock to work with. The name of the game is trying to better what you have!
