 No it won't work that way and sorry to get your hopes up. I guess I didn't read the post well enough. Your offspring with the male partridge on the female mottled will be a spangled colored bird, similar to Spangled Old English. Eye catching, but type wasn't there and neither is the color in the standard. I guess you could buy a partridge female too????? Good luck.
