Hi all-
An offshoot of a recent thread. I am taking the breeding season off to fulfill other commitments, but also taking advantage of it to get the birds in top shape for next season. I have some birds that tend to be "hatchet breasted"- usually males in certain varieties. Undoubtedly there is some genetic predisposition here, but does anyone have any feed suggestions for putting weight on birds?
I feed 19% protein Purina Flight Conditioner, which should be sufficient. I moved recently, and was forced into a much higher protein feed for several weeks, and can vouch that this was not good for the birds. I have considered supplementing with Manna Pro, etc.
Any ideas?
