Don't have much to add Bryant. I do support Tom's recommendations.
As one who has tried numerous suppliments only to honestly conclude that they haven't worked in the way they have been "raved" about, I have determined that there is nothing like a good basic feed. I have fed the Purina Game bird feeds for years & for the most part they seem to be as good as any, better than most. I dislike the soy protein feeds & even suppliment the game bird feeds with hard boiled eggs in an effort to increase the animal protein level. It, of course increases the overall protein level, so I balance it with a bit of scratch. If the birds are confined (caged) then its necessary to make sure they have free axcess to grit, for the scratch & if you are using GB Conditioner the calcium level seem to be a bit low so Oyster Shell is also required, but I mix the 2 & the birds pick out what the want.
