I am quite new to this poultry lark but have three fabulous cochins who are great fun and very friendly. Unfortunately two have got mild bumblefoot - which we are treating as per the vets instructions. However someone has mentioned that the reason they have got it is because they don't perch at night when roosting?? They happily use their coop to roost but don't ever want to use the perch in there. They can physically get on it (it's about 6 inches off floor) and if put on it they will stay there but left to their own devices the sleep on the coop floor. Does this sound like normal behaviour for a cochin?
