That cross to dutch will be a tough one from a type perpective. Keep me posted on your progress. I have my first f2 Self Blue chicks out as of last Sunday. Breeding Self Blue Split to blacks together yielded around the expected 25% Self blue chicks. All other chicks were Black and are of no use to the breeding program since you can't tell which ones are carrying Self Blue genes and which ones aren't (ie 25% are pure for Black). These f2's should be better in type than the original pair I have. f3 breeding will be another set of splits to Black to improve type. With f4 type should be much improved.
