Subject: Rooster Spurs Point Deduction???

 I was trimming toenails today in preparation for shows. I noticed that my Black Cochin roosters has one spur that is quite large (but not curved) and a broken off spur on the other leg. Will the broken spur cause him to loose points? And are spurs required to be a certain length in preparing for show???
