In past years all of my mature cochin bantam breeding birds have been fed an 18% non-medicated chick grower from around July 1 until the next breeding season and then changed to a breeder feed. My local feed store has changed brands and is now selling a 20% starter-grower with amprolium. I can't find it written anywhere that the amprolium would cause any problems for breeder birds. What has been anyone elses experience feeding a feed with amprolium prior to the breeding season.
