Doors to the international concert scene open wide to Pinoy performers


There seems to be a great new development in the concert scene abroad, especially those that feature Filipino concert artists.


Industry observers note that doors in the international music scene are actually more accommodating to the flock of Filipino artists who are veterans in the international stage. They note that the current trend is a back-to-back concert between a Filipino artist and an international singer.

This month, we were told that our very own Gary Valenciano has performed back-to-back with R&B king Brian McKnight at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, California.

On the negotiation table is the possible team-up of our very own Asia’s nightingale Lani Misalucha (who is now based in California with her family) and popular crooner Michael Bublé.

Wyngard Tracy told us that right now, they are negotiating for the possibility of a nine-city concert tour in the US and Canada of the country’s premiere band Side A and the Fil-Am American Idols finalists Jasmine Trias and Camille Velasco.

If plans push through, Wyngard said the culmination of this concert event will happen in the Philippines. For sure, this one will be much-awaiteÿ
