Hey Mika, you're right - except I called the doc's office and talked to one of the techs. They 'don't recommend it because you are only supposed to take it off for 15 minutes a day.' I protested and said that I didn't have to wear it at night - 'that's true,' they said, 'but how are you going to get it out of the wash and into the dryer in the middle of the night. Especially since you aren't to walk on it without the boot.' True says I. (In their defense, I did have to put it on in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom - seems they were afraid I'd be groggy, stumble and reinjure myslef.) My spouse offered to wash it and get up and put it in the dryer but as long as it was in the other room, it didn't bother either one of us.

p.s. Talked to the doc when I got it off and she said it was perfectly acceptable to wash it and dry it - she said I should've called back. oh well! lol
