I agree that from the way it was written for the show that Admiral Janeway's timeline is as you describe it.

However, I think that's the flaw in End Game. We know that C/7 is ridiculous. Even if this wasn't the Strictly J/7 board *g* I don't feel the the groundwork was laid on the show for a C/7 romance. Seven loves Janeway just as Janeway loves Seven. I don't think Seven would go into another relationship just because Janeway didn't declare herself. I see Seven as steadfast in her love and would rather be without than be with someone else.

Oh, I absolutely agree with you. The whole C/7 thing was just absurd. As a side note though...even if C/7 was to have happened (shudder) Gina's premise that Seven went on the away mission to distance herself from Chakotay because they were having major problems, makes a great deal of sense.

Me personally I think C/7 was a cop out by the voyager writers, it seemed rushed and there was little back story, no history. J/7 had tons of history and would have worked brilliantly - a gay relationship in StarTrek would be so nice to see. If Kathryn had just said something, (damn that gorgeous stubborn woman) things could have been so different *sigh*. Chakotay to me was always an average character,nothing really stood out about him apart from he would make a lousy leader. The farce relationship we avid voyager fans sadly had to see was an excuse for me to dislike chakotay even more. Kathryn and Seven belonged together!
