"Seven of Nine, recently of the Borg Collective..."
"Seven of Nine, former Tertiery Adjunct of Unimatrix Sero One..."

Now what about all the most often used excuses made by Janeway about why she and a certain ex-borg can't have a romantic relationship?

I'm married to the ship. Seven deserves better. (although that might be two!)

- rates as crew fraternization
- Seven is not yet fit for romantic involvement
- age difference
- Seven doesn't return feelings
OR
- Seven's feelings in return are mere adolescent infatuation
- Captain is married to the ship
- doesn't want to be taking advantage of Seven
- afraid command will interfere with romantic reationship (those damn away missions)
- Captain has to do guilt trips because she stranded crew in Delta Quadrant
- Captain should be no happier than crew
- what will the crew say anyway?
- it's against the protocol

(coming to think of how easy this was to sum up... God, I msut have read a lot of J/7... *G*)
