I sense a melancholy, as well. Though the timeframe of the interview, four weeks after final shooting, would be a bit melancholy for most. Endings even anticipated ones can make one feel that way. Kate Mulgrew seems happy with the way Janeway "turned out" and very happy with the Janeway-focused final episode End Game.

If anything the interview emphasizes that what an insider sees isn't what an outsider may see.

I read that Kate's husband has decided to enter the Democratic Primary for Governor in Ohio. I don't know who else is running but that should be an interesting campaign. We may find out more about KM than any of us want to know. Politics - take about theatre!

The once was a poster so dim,
Her posts were filled to the brim.
With misspellings and such,
That pained her so much,
It made her mood quite grim. :-(

You know, you're right... yeck...

I've taken your very valid observation about KM's take of Janeway and turned it into a discussion about politics.

I'm not even comfortable when political quips land on the board but here I am doing just that. *sigh*

I checked. Currently there are seven (interesting number) candidates in the Dem primary for the Governorship of Ohio. That means you won't need all that many votes to win. Based on that,Tim Hagan's chances are pretty good.
However, since he has held public office before we will have to see what his voting record reveals and if he has ever pissed the voters off over something.

I wonder if this will interfere with Kate's play.

Well, damn. I certainly hope not. It's the primary for Governer of Ohio for criminey's sake... not the Presidency!

Governorships are the number one post in a state so in some ways it is like a presidency.

I'm not sure when Ohio's primary is but my guess is March 2002. I think she could very well be on the campaign trail. Kate is from a political family and I suspect she likes the thrill of a good campaign. *g*

This topic came up on the TrekBBS page not too long ago. Apparently the Ohioians that posted didn't give him (Hagen)a snowball's chance in hell to even win the primary, much less the governorship.

Yes, well... since 12 year olds don't vote, I'm sure thats not a very accurate prediction. ;)

I've got some friends who live in the county where he was commish... they said everyone loved him. We'll see.

Kate is booked in Hartford until March 10 (my birthday!)

Well, as much as it pains me to agree with the folks on the TrekBBS, I think I must. Though, in Hagan's defense, I don't think *any* of the Democrats have a chance to beat Taft. He's much more competent than Voinovich ever was.

hmmmmm
Lets see.... in the last week, I have placed a political quip on the board, and have defended a genre that offends you. I think I have come from obscurity and quickly risen to be your *most* favorite poster! It's a regular Cinderella story, isn't it?

Well, Cinders...I'm not sure your remark qualified as a full-fledged quip but you have certainly caught my notice. *g*

Be it positive or negative, I always like catching a bit of notice.

That's why I've got these pasties on. *w*
