If I were the writer, Anya and Spike would have continued as a couple. I certainly wouldn't have killed Anya off at the end of the series at least. Live characters are more fun than dead ones except on Medium or Ghost Whisperer or Supernatural. Oh well. Writers are supposed to write what they know. I doubt there's been a successful committed relationship in the entire history of Hollywood. There is a certain satisfaction in knowing these writers are more miserable in their reality than their depressing writing has ever made me.

Entropy. A favorite subject of mine. I would like to practice some of that this holiday. Ha! Sorry, I’ll be late in “keeping up” with you nimblers.

So…I forgot how Buffy tried to kill her friends and Dawn “last week” ? –or is that some guilt she heaps on herself as “protector of Dawn’s ignorance” and “world happiness” when she was telling Spike how they didn’t blame her “Zero much” and how they’d deal with her sleeping with Spike, and how she didn’t love him, and she really is pretty bored with slaying and really angry at being “made naked” at being observed without permission. Tara and Willow are doing “just friends,” while Xander is saying ferverently, I love you, but he is not ready for marriage. (I guess I don’t quite understand that kind of definition of love, only of logistics).

Then Anya and Spike actually make sense in their levels of development and decide that understanding demands metaphysical union, which, of course, is the “confluence of events” of the Geek squad trio and Buffy made a liar/ made insecure Spike “chose” Anya, and Xander sees Anya chose “demon” strength “Spike” over (fearful) him. Turns around and blames the victim, which is so funny (re vengeance) as jealousy really is about the insecurity of LOSING possession and not love, and yet, for me, makes Xander so huggable yet a real guy, constantly trying to just make feet and standing up join up as an art form. Which explains sculpture.

They are a good couple, in truth, and I do think ensouled Spike makes sense with her, rather than this omniscient wisdom given St. Spike because Buffy “suddenly” made a man of him, when he grasped rape isn’t welcome and he must need a soul for the deficit.

I think that Halfrek’s female power in vengeance only demonstrates a weakness or fear that was exploited, so go PROVE how fearful one is that one actually has lost power—why vengeance never quite fills the hole, I guess. Dunno. I think it has to do with “do what feels good,” (immature?) rather than some moral boring of “what feels right?” (that which matters).

And, forgiveness is the key to compromise and cure for heartbreak. When spells don’t “spike” the coffee. Or something.

So...the peepers feel resigned to heartache and not "criminal justice" in some vengeance where it belongs? No one bothered with finding the peepees, who set up the cameras?
Be well
