Subject: ATS Rewatch Smile Time

I think it was Lewis who said they didn't like this one, and I'm very curious. Why not?

I adore this one, although the ending is bittersweet given that I'm a Fred/Wes gal and I know what's ahead.

Obviously they were going for the puppet metaphor again.

Anyone ever wonder if the 'devils' label meant anything?

Gunn shows more problems with his brain upgrade here, and I think this is where he goes to Sparrow for help. (Or as I know him, Conrad Ecklie lol) The question is, did the partners want it to fade or did Sparrow and Knox go behind their backs?

I love all the fun lines

Spike: You're a bloody puppet! You're a wee little puppet man!

Polo:It's Smile Time!
Angel: It's time to kick your demony ass all the way back to hell!

Lorne: Doctor! Medic! Is there a Geppetto in the house?

Gunn: you have the proportionate excitability of a puppet your size.(Spiderman reference)

Framkin-puppet:No name calling at Smile Time
Lorne: Mean person!

Also the puppet cancer exchange. "I do not have puppet cancer!"

I only wish the commercial puppets had been more like the one in the episode.

I liked the comic books stories that revisited it as well.
Just the idea of a werewolf tearing Angel puppet to shreds
and then Lorne saying is there a Gepetto in the house still makes me laugh.
