THANK YOU ALL for the differences; it all is meant to have a lighter touch so I'm not walking off skyscrapers like Joss does to you, which is great. I also think the strength of the actors isn't there. SMG bwoke my widdow heart. A lot. D/A was great, and then Lilah...or Wes, even. Yeah. Acting. Some funny, some awful, some gut wrenching. Good STUFF! BUT! I will perservere on your good recs!

I agree that this season on VD being less confined "opens up" the series and I hope it "doesn't get away from them." Is this like Dawson's Creek, the college years or building to the end of people altogether; and what to do for lunch?

So it's "relationships matter" or "character matters? " There is a difference to me to appreciate when everyone "justifies" what they are doing simply because they can "magically" in this show.

And because they can it all is meant to be "evil" somehow? At least the witch "pays consequences" and that is something "honest." WHERE IS SHE?

I'll record it and "catch up" with it in Netflix, so I guess I'll be behind in any discussions of it. It all feels like B/A and B/S (with a soul), but Elena says she is so sad, but feels just frozen to me. Her Katherine vamping around makes me just laugh. It's like little kids who think they are fooling you. Sorry. I did see her faith badly bruised this time. She usually just talks her way into what she wants with these guys. (I mean outside of the heroics on someone's behalf--it sure keeps them busy finding ways to save her, short of vamping her).

Person of Interest is dark redemption for both characters, but has no where to go, really. Who Are You. who, who? Who, who? (CSI).

I think they can build a team, do the spy v spy mystery between two heads of the same serpent, but the value to me, seriously, would be to "rage against the machine"--sorry, but I grew up in a dictatorship and THIS is exactly how it is done AS WAS DONE TO US after 9/11.

Criminals are given the status of a NATION, which means "military law"--and all civil rights are suspended, along with invasion of EVERY privacy, without DUE PROCESS, and WE are the ones being treated like criminals, for the right to use what we pay for as INNOCENTS, not merely "customers," as the public good. A very few men suspend all rights, except those self-granted pardons a priori; people are watched, disappeared, and the rest of the population "is helpless."

THe emotional rationale of such people in Person of Inerest is in some redemptive story and is just way too thin "no one" else is dropping a net on them and at the COST this country deems OKAY: NO PRIVACY. I guess Jesus running around so violently is interesting to Caviezel; And what's with the limp on "evil Ben?" (Lost). He'll be sorry keeping that up without physical therapy. I hear House singing the "jailhouse" blues (BADLY) is still limping along. NO contract, no Cuddy! Wilde is doing movies, so what female is left?

Prime Suspect is probably my new show, with Maria Bello is all kinds of fun. The rest of the cast actually has room to be written and change, beyond the boss, Aidan Quinn and the character Kevin--yes, it's an all Irish cops club. ANd it has case of the week, as well. It won't be some L&O,because it actually has characters with CHARACTER.

I laughed so hard seeing her hauling off all those rifles at once. It was so real world. I feel for her a lot in how much "she swallows" in some real injustice in the good ole boys club; yet also how little time she affords BS.

Owen, the little boy, this week, in a single moment at the end, just hugging her like that makes me remember the divinity of a wide open and trusting heart. Just wow.

I hope that pressures from above are in direct conflict with her approach for a while. It's kinda Closer like, without the silly sweaters. (Loved that show and GLAD they know when to say when--last season).

Enjoying the CSI dominatrix on Nikita. I could watch her blink all day. But I love cats. The rest? meh. Check out the Canadian series instead. That's a horror/human story.

I have no idea what's the what on "cable"--Dexter last season was just too much with the torture and screaming of women throughout. It plays too much into "pleasure" at vicimization of women and some hidden thing going on now: "they deserve it."

I see in media and is a real hatred of women, not just the crazies needing deading by Dexter on a TV series. I guess Dexter "having fun" killing is the new emotional venue of "at least" feeling something.

Too much to do to begin the catch up on Burn Notice, Haven, Sanctuary, Game of Thrones, oh yeah--much easier than the books; Kingdom, Zen--PBS, gotta rec that one, et al. Netflix is gonna be rich again.

Be well
