who is larger than our part Jack Russell. We've been home with Madison for about 15 minutes. Jessie, our oldest cat, has disappeared completely. Hallie, our youngest cat, took time to smell Madison, slap the fire out of Madison's nose which sent Madison yelping to my roomy, and climb the oak tree in the back yard. I've never seen her do this before so am wondering if we will have to call the fire department to get her down. Millie, our Jack Russell, is wearing her Mohawk, peeing all over the deck and trying to sit in my lap. I don't want to be pee'd on, thank you. I've just fininshed bandaging my arm where Madison's very neatly trimmed claws took a hunk out and am preparing to re-enter the fray in the back yard.

Good luck with all the critters, Salty! I hope the fireworks didn't scare them all too much. Nick and Nora were startled, but too curious to run and hide. They were just like the rest of us: "Ooooh! Ahhh!" I think once they figured we weren't upset, they just settled in and enjoyed the show!
