Subject: Okay, so Joss just made a very public $10,000 bid to own the rights to the Terminator franchise.

I don't know if there's anyone I'd trust with Terminator as much as I do Joss. I'm sure that as sole (or even partial) owner of the franchise he could steer it into becoming something really cool again.

Not meaning that sarcastically. I couldn't warm to the TV show because I thoguht their Sarah Connor was so far away from the Linda Hamilton interpretation that I couldn't buy her as the same character. Same with their John Connor. Just me.

I was also very disappointed in the latest Terminator movie because I thought the storyline was just hacked out. So much they could've done and didnt. Again, just MHO.

I think the franchise has soooo much(!) potential. It would be interesting to see where Joss goes with it.

Both Terminator and Dollhouse have doomsday future scenarios. Perhaps he intends to merge the two franchises, tie the two doomsdays into the same event, and create some new property from that concept? That's something I could really dig.

Joss needs to stop signing contracts with Fox that allow them to air his shows on Friday nights.
