Subject: Paranormal Activity - anyone see it?

Is it really scary or just really well hyped?

I've wanted to but am saving my money at the moment. I kind of know the plot already from reading comments to reviews. I might like the way it is filmed, though, if it is nicely creepy. I'm not really into gore for gore's sake.

the hype helped scare me.

the audience detracts from it a bit.

but in my whimpy opinion...the last few minutes of the movie is worth it. i do admit that i haven't been able to sleep with my foot/feet outside of the blankets since.

It depends on what scares you, imho it wasn't worth watching as it wasn't that scary. I understand the concept and everything but it just didn't do anything for me. It would have been good if you watched it pre hype machine point. But post hype machine it wasn't even decent. There is about 1 good scene throughout the movie outside of the that it was kind of stupid, predictable and not entertaining.
