Uh, let me see. Well, there's some quality TV-catching-up-on tonight, probably with the aid of a pizza.

Then on Saturday we need to do a bunch of chores around the house and yard, get some groceries, pick up a care package from mom at the post office (bless her heart, she saves all the free cooking magazines she gets in the mail or picks up in the grocery store for me), and the usual laundry and cleaning and cooking and baking. Oh, and we've been threatening to clip the cats' claws for weeks and it must be done soon!

Today is the end of the quarter, so Dewey will be racing to get everything graded (including today's exam and the big homework packets) and the grades loaded into the gradebook for the report cards. Oh, and then of course he'll need lesson plans for next week. Soooo much of a teacher's work is done "off the clock."

Wouldn't you know, after we broke down and cleaned the oven last weekend, our Thanksgiving guests cancelled? Oh, well, you know, we can actually see in through the oven window now!

We get Wednesday off to observe Veteran's Day, and we are looking forward to the breather. We'll probably head down to the Seattle Center (where the Space Needle is) for the ceremony.

Then Dewey's taking some kids on a field trip Friday and Saturday of next week, so I get Friday off, too!

Millivolt had a choir rehearsal, then a Brownie nature hike, and then a birthday party all on the agenda for tomorrow (and all in different parts of town, of course). we decided (duh) that it was too much, so she was going to forgo the hike...then i got a call about an hour ago that they changed her choir rehearsal, so it now conflicts with her best friend's birthday party. the best friend who spent the entire summer in Texas and will be moving there at the end of the school year. not good.

my dad's supposed to be arriving in town tomorrow afternoon, too, but we don't know when yet, and i found out yesterday that i have to work on Sunday.

in conclusion, i'm sure it's going to be lots of fun...
