There are almost 400 total eps and they do big breaks between arcs because its based on a manga. So you can watch this huge arc get to a cliffhanger and all of a sudden be watching a completely different filler arc. It would be very disconcerting if not for Wikipedia.

Guess I haven't done an MNA in over a week either so guess I should do that.

That rings a bell. Adult Swim? It started off--and seemed interested in selling music!

Then "Death Note came in--which I liked. Not so fighty, but more like suspense with the shinigami (grim reaper) bumping off bad guys, but as if the choice was done by a god and the good guy cop fighting the reaper guy was for his arrogance or something. Jeez--I do not remember if I got to the ending of who actually survived or assumed the yellow box ending; I still raff that Kira is "killer"--take that, you hard English language!

I think they plan on movies based on the manga, but I didn't follow up. I kinda got out of manga and anime, as I started looking more at comic books--even though motion comics "happened." (Archer--what an ass. ha!) Funny how American superheroes are now films en masse and pulpy.

I give full credit to Joss Whedon for the fairy tale boom. I am sure I bored everyone that Buffy and Angel themselves are myth and Joss used them as would one use fairy tale for a psychological playground, as well. e.g. why Dawn is the real girl and is the "dreamer," as she was NOT in the "grey reality" of "Normal Again."

Which is why "Awake" looks promising to me in the same ideas of Buffy/Angel, especially season 8, in the ideas of Hindu/Buddhist mythology at the center of all (religious) myth of "Row your boat...life is but a dream;" as well as, his doppelganger is "the same guy" seeing differently, instead of using an avatar. Wonder if the half family in each is the avatar?

Thanks for explaining "Smash." Having seen some of the theatre life for real; and in having interested Anjelica Huston I just had to ask! You do know these are Netflix list for me; I haven't the willingness to pay in ad time in exchange for holding the hot ticket.

And yeah, I gave up on Buffy, pretending to be about adult themes, when "throwing HER under the bus" seems to be the ONLY required plot based on cuz "I sez."

I admired her heart and intution once. And! I just never thought zombies (zompires) were ever "the formidable force to fear" when stumbling over their own parts falling off (provided you with a "handy weapon" at arm's length) pure comedy/pity, well used in "Dylan Dog."

Angel n Faith with Dru sounded fun! But then they RUINED IT--"sane Dru" all healed up from Mosaic? I do fear "sane Dru" is just linear time Dru. BOORRRRING. I always understood her; she just was in no time/constant time, couched in Tarot, etc. Couldn't they use Kabbala in this FatherDowling/Sister Steve story?

WHAHHH! I'm getting old, as I have seen so much before; and the simple notion of Angel's "be kind" just can't make it through the day, let alone Congress.

Time to make ole hungry behave!
