Subject: For Leif to admit to his family and friends he needs help is one thing -- but to go on public TV and say it is a whole different ballgame. There will always be negative people, people who are obviously so perfect that they have the right to judge others. Or... wait... is it because they're so IMperfect that they have to find scapegoats for their imperfections? Hmm. Leif, there is a whole constituency out here that still LOVES YOU after all these years and wants you to get the help you need. We're only an email away. God bless and good luck.
In reply to: Tina Lyn 's message, "Stacy and Bonnie, good words and awesome support. It's easy to spot the posters who have never dealt with addiction in their own or anyone else's lives. "Stop the drugs" is an easy thing to say. So is "Stop smoking", "Stop drinking", or "Stop eating compulsively", all of which I've dealt with. When will people realize that you just can't STOP an addiction?? To some addicts that's like saying, "Stop breathing". I am in a 12-step program for compulsive eating. It takes more than will or desire or commitment. It takes help from a Higher Power (however that higher power is defined by the individual) to fight and overcome the addiction. **more**" on Mon, Nov 01 2010, 20:32:26

[> [> [> [> [> [> Never been on here before the GMA blurp. Wondered what kind of intelligent conversations might come about concerning an individual who struggles with a lifetime of addiction..whether they are famous or not. Interested to see what surges from Celeb Rehab when it airs. Curious to know if Garrett is doing anything else with his "brand." -- Stacy, Fri, Nov 05 2010, 21:22:25 [1]

[> [> [> [> [> [> [> Found out that Garrett still does work that benefits charity. Found out that he does a lot more behind the scene stuff and musically than originally thought to have done. Found out that he still has a solid fan base of silly girls who secretly still want him to marry them and make him their baby's daddy. Found out that if I lived a day as Leif Garrett, I would need to probably get wasted to survive it...and that is coming from someone who has never been tempted to even try any of it. -- Stacy, Fri, Nov 05 2010, 21:28:43 [1]
