Hi Tina Lyn,
Thanks for replying. While I understand what you are trying to say about the negative experiences outweighing the postivie ones, I don't know all the facts about what went on and that's fine, I don't need to know. It won't change my opinion of Leif. Even though I had the pleasure of meeting him only one time,I didn't go to the show expecting to meet him. It just happened and I was grateful for it, he didn't have to be as nice as he was, he could've just done his set and went back to his room. I just think there should be an extent and limit to what fans think Leif is obligated to do for us. I went to the show to see and hear him sing and that's what I got, meeting him was like a bonus. I strongly feel he appreciates all of us but I don't expect anything from more from him. I understand 30yrs.is a long time to be behind someone and that you feel slighted but does anyone really know how it is to walk in his shoes for a week or even a day? If the tables were turned, I don't think I would want the added pressure of having to constantly please people on top of being an awesome musician.I just think that's alot to put on someone. I am happy with his music and whenever he is on TV or in town, of course I'll watch if I can. How Leif and his staff deal with the detailed side of things is their business,I'm sure he knows what he's doing. I am satisfied with just being able to listen to his music and watching him on TV or on tour when I can. Do you see what I mean? I read your comment about how you feel he wants a younger fan base?? I just turned 35 and most of the women in the audience that night were older than me, he was great with all of us, so I didn't get that impression at all. There was alot of pushing and shoving, really rude women but he was good with everybody. Can you imagine a huge crowd of people rushing towards you like maniacs?? no way. He must deal with that on a daily basis, don't know how he does it but he handled it like an expert! If you're feeling the way you do, why not email him and ask him?? I know he can't reply but still...I think it's better than talking about him on this board? Thanks for letting me express my opinion, again!

[> awesome musician? I wouldn't go that far. I too have seen him in person and I did enjoy the show. He definitely rocked the place. But, rocking out in a bar to a crowd of a hundred or so is a lot different than a stadium. I doubt he will ever be more than what he is now. He probably makes an ok living. Isn't this message board intended for people to talk amongst each other, about Leif? I have seen this go back and forth since 1999...nothing much has changed. He probably doesn't even read this and if he does he probably doesn't care. Most show business people need a thick skin...and his must be like armour by now. He doesn't need anyone to protect him. -- SP ~ things never change, Fri, Jul 18 2008, 23:30:48 [1]

[> Kimberly, Have you ever walked in the shoes of Bonnie and Tina Lyn? I have! I give them credit for not quitting long ago. It's not easy putting so much effort in and getting little respect in return. Is it to much to ask for a courteous exchange of information? Leif has always been kind to me in person. I would certainly see him again if he performed locally but, trying to promote Leif is not easy. I can't say why it all falls apart but in the end it's Leif's career so he is the one coming off poorly. One thing I can say as someone formerly involved in this website, you never quite feel valued for what you do. It's not a celebrity thing, it's a human attribute to be gracious and thankful to those who champion your cause. You can't know what you don't know! Much has transpired over the years. Kudos to Bonnie and TL for wanting to continue on with the website after all this time. -- Zhanna, Sun, Jul 20 2008, 23:23:02 [1]
