i agree with what you said. addiction is a diease with no known cure but can be arrested at some point in time. you have to live the program of recovery in your own live to know what he is going through. the best thing to do for him is to love him until he can learn to love himself. living clean is a great way of life. that is from someone who knows first hand. you can only live one day at a time and do the next right thing. his family is doing the right thing by giving him the support he needs to continue. as are we. i applaud him for the courage it takes to make the first step. recovery is an every day process that will last the rest of his life.
