According to what Sophia told everyone, the tiara was in the Armonti family from when a russian zar gave it to his mistress and she was wearing it when she died. Since Sophia was married to Count Armonti(Marcello's father), she was next in line to receive it. She agreed to show it at the museum to try and help Cruz catch Andre, who Cruz believed was behind all of Eden's problems. After Andre was killed at the warehouse, Eden/Lisa hid the Tiara and the other jewels in the bookcase at the house.On the eve of Lisa's birthday, she took the tiara to CC and Sophia's and revealed herself to them, and showed her hate for Sophia dating back to the time she was an Armonti. The whole Eden/Lisa storyline was the worst ever, and a total waste of Marcy's talent's, IMO
