The four-time World Superbike Champion was granted the title of Honorary Doctor of Civil Law by the University of Huddersfield. "Yes, I was surprised and thrilled to bits when I was asked to receive this honour," said Fogarty who was joined by wife Michaela and daughters Danielle and Claudia. "I've got an MBE from the Queen and I've been asked to open colleges and engineering departments that have been named after me, but I've never been made a doctor”.
