Owner Ken Savage blamed competition in the sector "People aren't buying the number of bikes they have historically. It's very competitive and the profit margins on the bikes are very slim. The dealership has been trading at a loss for a number of years and the board felt that given the lack of prospects for any improvement we have been left with no choice." Mr Savage said the lease for the premises would be put up for sale and there was nothing stopping another company from taking on the Honda franchise at the site.
