Not only was it in a Nicosia police station, but it was also a piece of evidence in another case! The 19 year old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, broke into the police station with two friends, causing damage to the fencing and removed the bike. The man pleased guilty to all charges, but said he was 17 at the time, so pleading guilty would get him out of community service! The case ended in farce, as the prosecution lawyer – clearly sure he was going to win the case – was hauled over the coals by a furious judge for not paying attention!
