I want to ride it on an Indian Scout (the ones made by the hopefully soon to be resurrected company rather than an original Scout from the 1940s or earlier - the thought of trying to ride on the wrong side of the road with a gear stick, pedals back to front and who knows what other oddities from back then (I still recall wincing when I read "Rebuilding the Indian" and got to his first ride) - but unless Indian open up again and some rental companies start using their stuff, reckon it'll be by 883 or 1200 'Sportster'. Of course, it will cost a fortune to do the Route 66 thing, so it may never happen. But this is the one big trip I'd really like to do.
