[ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] Date Posted: 04:55:03 06/08/06 Thu Local bike group, the Tigers Motorcycle Club, are volunteering their time to assist the medical teams working to help victims of the earthquake in Java. The club are travelling to areas inaccessible by car, to reach people injured by the quake. In addition to transporting the medical team, the bikers also ride out to other remote communities, conducting needs assessments and delivering that information back to the relief effort co-ordinators. The medical team travel to remote areas to setup mobile clinics from backpacks. They locate people in need by asking the communities they pass where there are injured people.
