[ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] Date Posted: 04:05:26 01/24/07 Wed South Milford in Yorkshire has set a record for “sign clutter”, with no less than 45 road signs being displayed in the space of just over half a mile. Villagers have called for a clear-out of the signs, which North Yorkshire County Council claim are there for safety reasons. Resident Edward French said: "You can only concentrate on a certain number of things, and you're just faced with all this proliferation of signs. If you had to look at everything, you would not be concentrating on the road itself." Highways bosses at the council have promised to discuss the matter with residents.
