Date Posted: 05:17:25 02/14/08 Thu Brycen Spencer, a student from the University of Massachusetts has equipped a motorcycle helmet with “Wireless Guardian” technology. If the equipment senses an impact, the unit is judge if the rider is OK. If not, it automatically calls 911 and – using GPS technology - reports your location to the emergency services. Details are sketchy as to how the unit knows you are OK – assumption is that this is a combination of movement and helmet position.
