Date Posted: 05:17:30 04/08/08 Tue Appeal judges have halved a six month ban and overturned the riding disqualification of a scooter rider who used his feet to cover his numberplate. James Bell, 21, from Southampton, was caught twice in 2007 speeding in 30mph zones, using his feet to obscure his registration number. Mr Justice Penry-Davey, reducing the prison sentence to one month, said a disqualification may have been appropriate, but it would be wrong to impose one when it was unknown what was in the sentencing judge's mind.
