[ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] Date Posted: 15:14:40 04/19/08 Sat In reply to: Bob 's message, "UK likes Harley best?" on 05:31:01 04/18/08 Fri Must admit to liking the V Rod myself,particularly the special Black version.In Devon sports bikes are making way for customs and less radical machines as the Police now routinely cruise around all over the place in unmarked traffic cars fitted with ANPR and vascar rather than sitting in lay-bys on A roads in marked cars as they used to do.Basically now if you speed anywhere you've got a very good chance of getting caught.I know plenty of people who got nabbed by the unmarked vehicles when they were first introduced,word gets around and they've definately had a major effect on traffic behaviour,they've everything from a Volvo Estate to a Skoda and all kinds of others in between.They've recently announced that un-marked bikes with cameras are soon to be introduced,call me cynical but I wonder if that's what was behind the generous gesture a couple of months back of handing out hundreds of reflective jackets free to local bikers making such things a common site on local roads and the Police riders just that much more invisible.(amongst the hers that is). New Harley XR1200's a beauty as well,supposedly designed with europe in mind with better suspension and handling than their cruiser range.
