Subject: London bike ambulance fleet increased

 The London Ambulance Service has expanded its fleet. An additional twelve Honda ST1300 Pan Europeans have been added to the existing 50-strong roster. The dozen new paramedics will have a main focus in East London.

Shaun Rock of the London Ambulance Service said “We looked at response times in congested areas of London twenty years ago and saw that motorcycles were the solution to getting a vehicle and paramedic on-scene as soon as possible.”
