Subject: MP in plea for airport land for Oban motorcycle test centre

 Liberal Democrat MP Alan Reid has urged Argyll and Bute Council to make redundant runway space at Oban Airport available for an occasional motorcycle test centre. Mr Reid has taken this action to avoid the need for learners to travel long distances to Glasgow or Inverness.

Mr Reid said “It is nonsense that there is no nearer motorcycle test centre. I am very worried that some learner motorcyclists might be tempted to skip the test and use their motorcycles illegally because the nearest test centre is so far away.”
