Police have called for witnesses following the theft of around £25,000 of motorcycle clothing from Get Geared in Leatherhead on the evening of 7th May.

50 jackets, each valued between £200 to £500, were stolen when thieves smashed the front window. The suspects are described as white men aged in their late 20s, one of whom was wearing a balaclava. They escaped in a white Ford Transit van, which was driven by a fourth man described as white and of large build.

Detective Constable Ian Moody appealed for anyone to come forward if they have information about the burglary or are offered cut-price jackets. He said “The retailer has spent many years building up his business and this incident has devastated him. These motorcycle jackets normally cost between £200 and £500, therefore if you are offered high quality motorcycle clothing at a reduced price they may have originated from this burglary.”

Anyone with information about the burglary is urged to contact Surrey Police on 0845 125 2222 quoting reference MV/09/2104, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
