 According to research carried out by Post Office Insurance, up to 4.8 million UK drivers (13%) would consider switching to two wheels as a way of reducing costs during the recession.

Fuel efficiency (31%) and ease of getting around (27%) were the two main reasons given by drivers thinking about making the change. Post Office head of general insurance Richard Pennant-Jones said: "At a time when many people are stretched financially, switching from four wheels to two is one way to save money.”
