 According to ACEM (the motorcycle industry in Europe), over a three year period of 2008, 2009 and 2010, sales of Powered Two Wheelers has contracted by 33%.

A significant factor in this reduction is Italy – traditionally a major buyer. During this period new purchases has fallen by 26%, dragging down the average of the rest of the EU, as government incentives ended.
