Former bank chairman Sandro Capotosti and business partner Ruggeromassimo Jannuzzelli bought the tights to operate the assets of Moto Morini through a bankruptcy auction for the sum of 1,960,000 Euro. A company statement from the newly formed ‘Eagle Bike Company’ said “The plan of the purchasing group is to relaunch the prestigious Italian brand Moto Morini, which has more than 80 years of history, and which has created motorbikes that have represented the dreams of entire generations: from useful daily transport in the post-war years, to the legendary competition bikes and the production, competition-derived series models.” The deal purportedly purchases the brand name, IP and other assets, but not the actual real estate of the company. Given that‘Eagle Bike Company’ has not purchased the manufacturing premises, when any new Morini bikes will be built is open to question.
