 The Rawtenstall Custom Classic Motorcycle Show, due to run on 28th August, has been called off over ‘confusion on visitor numbers’. Police say they were told there were likely to be 450 people when organisers submitted an application in January, but when it came to light the expected figure was more like 7,000 Rossendale police confirmed they would not have the resources to man the event.

Lancashire Road Riders, based at The Flowers pub, Bacup, said they will not stage the festival in Rossendale in the future.
