[> Two of my absolute favorites are on the list: The Exorcist and The Haunting. Just READING The Exorcist I had to sleep with the lights on. The only other thing creepier in the movie is the little boy standing by the curtain in Three Men and a Baby. I've never had any explanation of who he is or how he got there. -- Liz, 10/29/09 3:10pm

[> [> There is no little boy by the curtain, according to snopes.com, it's a cut out of Tom Sellect someone put there as a joke. -- Ellie~there's no hanging munchkin in "The Wizard of Oz" either, lol!, 10/29/09 11:31pm

[> Does anyone remember Patty McCormack in the "Bad Seed." Although it wasn't a horror film, there was such a presence of evil. "What will you give me for a basket of kisses?" -- Liz, 10/30/09 10:49am

[> [> what happened to really top-class-scary-movies? i mean, look at all the remakes like haunted hill etc. even with crap technology at the time people were able to scare the shit out of house .. today, at best they make me laugh, but most of them are just appaling. House of Wax .. egh ... -- béla (retching), 10/30/09 11:48am

[> [> [> The Others with Nicole Kidman I thought was very good - it was scary without being gross. But I think that's about 10 years old or more. The classic movie channel is showing all Boris Karloff's movies, he was scary without even doing anything! -- Amy, 10/30/09 3:41pm

[> [> [> [> What about all the great Vincent Price movies? "The Tomb of Lygea" was a classic. I just loved his voice. He also did a movie called "Dragonwyck" with Jean Simmons which was kind of a dark, gothic film. That was great, too. -- Liz, 10/30/09 6:20pm

[> I saw Burnt Offerings on telly, cheesy horror flick from the 70's with surprisingly good cast including Bette Davis! Oliver Reed and Karen Black (who's creepy without even trying) - pretty good for B movie cheese. -- Amy, 11/ 2/09 9:09am

[> [> I was a huge fan of Oliver Reed. I know he liked his alcohol and was a bit of a carouser, but I thought he was really wonderful actor. He was a wonderful Bill Sykes, and a fabulous Athos in the two musketeer movies. He was great in Gladiator until he passed away during its filming. -- Liz, 11/ 2/09 10:10am
