Subject: Speak Up, Everyone

Hello out there, everyone. What a quiet bunch of forum members we all are. Someone out there is bound to have an opinion on SOMETHING! Throw some subjects out that we can talk about. I'll start. I have flying squirrels, and just think that they are wonderful and beautiful and fascinating. I hope to breed and sell them someday. But I definitely would not recommend them for everyone! They are nocturnal, and are not too thrilled at being rousted out of bed to play. Their feeding is fairly simple, but do require a vitamin supplement, preferably a liquid supplement in their water. Mine get nuts, both in and out of shell, vegetables, fruit, bugs, worms, pine cones, clover blossoms and other flower blooms, and anything else that I might think of that won't harm them. Pecans and apples and clover seem to be favorites around here. They are very clean little animals, and do not have the odor that many other pets do. Except when they are babies, they are not cuddly animals that want to be petted. They will play with you on their own terms, which usually means they will glide down and light on you and scoot down your shirt. When they are babies, they are carried everywhere by their owners, inside their shirt, People even take them to work or school with them, and no one is the wiser, since they just snuggle down amd sleep all day. They are also very tiny, delicate animals that can be seriously hurt or even killed by rough handling. They are very independent, and faster than you can begin to imagine. They're wonderful little animals, but not everyones 'dream pet'.
Now tell us about your pets.
