 It seems, disabling authentication doesn't resolve the problem - still need registration and still unable to register

oh hey, i wasn't even looking at these messages.
looks like the forum is up and running again.
the problem was the format i applied by default didn't allow the CAPTCHA image to be displayed for authentication.
it also didn't provide an for text for that CAPTCHA image.
