Subject: *Jack Klugman Will Return for Jury Duty in Twelve Angry Men at the George Street Playhouse (NJ), beginning March 13, 2012!*

Jack Klugman, the Tony-nominated actor and original cast member of the 1957 film "Twelve Angry Men," will star in the stage adaptation of the landmark courtroom drama at the George Street Playhouse, beginning March 13, 2012, according to the official website for the theatre.

George Street artistic director David Saint will stage Reginald Rose's Twelve Angry Men, which will run through April 8, 2012. Klugman originated the role of Juror 5 on screen and will play Juror 9 in the upcoming production.

Twelve Angry Men, according to George Street, "begins as twelve men enter an airless jury room on a blistering summer day. Their task is to return a verdict against an inner-city youth charged with the murder of his father, where a guilty vote equals a mandatory death sentence. With testimony from two witnesses, their deliberations should be brisk – until one lone Juror lights the fuse that will make this “open and shut case” explode like a stick of dynamite."

Klugman, known best for his role of Oscar Madison in the television series "The Odd Couple" and the title role on "Quincy M.E.," has appeared on Broadway in The Sunshine Boys, Three Men on a Horse, I'm Not Rappaport, The Sudden & Accidental Re-Education of Horse Johnson and in the original stage production of The Odd Couple as a replacement player.
