Subject: 2005-06 basketball schedules

The WBB team will head to Alaska next year for the 4-team "Top of the World" tournmanet at Alaska-Anchorage (DII). The other 2 teams are Arizona and Furman. BTW -Monmouth will be 1 of 8 teams playing in the same tourney on the men's side. It's very early but, any word on schedule for 05-06?

Insider indicated that Florida International will visit Detrick for the 2nd straight year. It also makes sense that LaSalle will return a game to New Briatin next year.

We've probably finished contracts with Loyola MD (2 home/away) and Niagara (1 home/away), so I'd expect 2 more mid-major MAAC type teams to replace them like Fairfield or Marist.

So there is lots of room for 2 "paid games" games (UConn, Big East, etc.), some tune-ups for the Mohegan Sun Tourney (Colgate, Darmouth, etc.), or even another tourney like the Cable Car

FIU will be on the road. The MS Classic will be on Nov. 18-19, Friday and Saturday, no tune-ups likely before this date. LaSalle will be a home game.

Thanks Insider.

Again, its way to early for any of this stuff, but ESPN's Joe Lunardi has CCSU as the NEC representative in the 2006 NCAA tourney (to face SWAC Champ Alabama A&M in the PIG).
