Subject: Per www.racing-reference.info ,Dale drove an olds only 3 times with the chevy being his primary car for 1980 so I would say the chevy is the "championship" car.It also had different sponsors through the year from just the #2 to Mike Curb,Lowes and Wrangler. I thought the 1980 Movie car was supposed to be his charlotte win car based upon the date on the brass plate.But the championship was not decided till the last race of the year which was Ontario CA in which he finished 2nd to end the year a scant 19 points over Yarborough.
